ABOUT US

Our mission

Satchel was founded to provide children of all ages and abilities with the best possible start in life, to achieve success at school and in exams, to develop a positive attitude to learning and to inspire them to achieve their full potential.

WE MAKE LEARNING SIMPLE

Every journey in Satchel starts with a free Starting Satchel meeting. Your tutor will spend time getting to know you and your child, to assess strengths and weaknesses, and devise a personalised Satchel Learning programme.

Learning in Satchel

Satchel maths and English courses follow the National Curriculum and can be adapted to fit into even the busiest of lifestyles. Using a combination of Satchel classes and structured homework, every child works at their own pace. Children master the basics of a topic first, before moving on to more advanced work.

A GOOD EDUCATION CAN BRING LIFE LONG BENEFITS

AN EDUCATION FOR LIFE

Satchel follows the National Curriculum but allows children to follow their own path, spending longer on topics they find challenging but moving more quickly on areas where they are comfortable.

  • Children normally attend a Satchel class weekly where they receive one to one support.

  • Your tutor will be on hand to help with new topics and reward their hard work.

  • Structured homework consolidates work at class and allows children to achieve mastery of each topic.

  • Satchel uses its own bespoke learning materials designed by leading subject specialists.

  • Satchel maths and English courses follow the National Curriculum.

  • Satchel is suitable for children of all ages and abilities.

  • Satchel is a highly flexible programme of learning that can fit into even the busiest of lifestyles.

“Satchel not only helped by daughter gain a place at a grammar school, but has also helped her to cope with the demands of her secondary school when she started.”

Mr Needham

“Although he is naturally able, I am convinced that our child would not have achieved his fantastic result in the 11 plus without support from Satchel.”

Mrs Patel

“Our child was responsive to Satchel’s methods which had a good balance between encouragement and praise, and constructive feedback. Satchel’s approach is unique in that it places emphasis on a child to develop themselves, at their own pace, and is heavily centred on the principle of self-learning and development. ”
